Wii, You Motherfucker You!
Oh wow, like many gamers this generation of consoles [if you’re counting at home, this is the seventh generation of home consoles] hasn’t heard this topic before. What’s sad about it though is that if many of the once loyal Nintendo fans are jumping ship this generation, where is that going to leave the Big N next generation? Are they going to continue to try to market the Blue Ocean strategy in order to court even more casual gamers? Underpowered? Only in HD…
Throughout this coming up console generation, people have been complaining about how the Nintendo Revolution will more than likely not stack up next to the Sony PlayStation 3 or the Microsoft Xbox 360. Gaming’s Box: Is Nintendo Still Thinking Inside?
When talking to a certain DSRevolution user, he mentioned that he thinks that when Nintendo does release their new console, codenamed “Revolution, it will usher them back into the limelight they once had during the early nineties”. The reason for his optimism is something that many gamers have said why they like Nintendo games to begin with: because the company “thinks outside the box”. That’s right, I said it. The Nintendo DS has caused quite a stir in the handheld market over its past year and although there was a drought, we have far surpassed that with quality games arriving now and will be arriving in the near future.
