You are immediately greeting with a very annoying title screen with a bad rendition of the Addams Family theme song. But that will be the only time you hear a song as the levels are kind of devoid of background music. The rest of the sounds are just your typical run of the mill game bleeps and bloops.

Although Pugsley is ugly looking he does move around pretty fluidly. The world is just populated with “creepy” enemies and the environments are like that as well. Very basic as well.

You do get a nice lenient hit system as two hits will kill you instead of the one that was typical of this time period. You also do start out with five lives so that is great.

Starting off I was wandering around the level which, upon thinking I beat the level, led me right back to the beginning. I kept wandering around the world going from caves to trees to the house but they were all equally uninteresting. Luckily, my woes were addressed because a fucking platform can kill you, which makes sense. I just had to stop because it was just boring. I’m done.
