Overview:
I love me some After Burner. You fly as a cool jet through different locales, dodging missiles, shooting down planes, doing barrel rolls, and just being absolutely cool. The arcade game translates okay to the small screen and it gets the point across.

Visuals:
After Burner, arcade, is a glorious showpiece of 80s video game technology. It’s fast and hectic. None of this comes over, visually, to the Master System. You can tell they were limited with what they could do but it just looks like a sad game. I guess, for the time, having this at home, in any version, would be better than not having it!
Audio:
Another place where the game fails to live up to its big brother. Everything is lost but at least there was an effort.
Completion:
This game is fucking hard. Just like the arcade, the enemies just punish you with everything they got. Even though you’re not pumping in quarters, they don’t want you to finish without a fight. I made it just barely to the second stage then all my lives/continues were up. It doesn’t help the game runs slow as fuck.
