Overview:
A French RPG set in a world where a Paintress paints a number and everyone of that age and older dies/disappears. As the title suggests, the number 33 was just painted so they poofed out of existence and now it’s up to the 67th Expedition [made up of 32 and younger] to try to reach the Paintress and put an end to her. It’s a turn based game with Super Mario RPG mechanics with you parrying and dodging at the right time to increase your damage and nullify attacks. Along the way you meet a ragtag group of characters to help you achieve your goal and put an end to this sorcery!
Visuals:
What a beautiful game. The imagery is amazing with character models that don’t really have an uncanny valley feel. The characters get all bloody everytime there’s a battle so that’s pretty funny. The world is equally gorgeous with a very French feel to every environment. The enemies are also unique with all different varieties depending on the locations you visit.

Audio:
Like the visuals, the audio in this game is terrific. The voice acting is far and away super believable. The music also is like nothing we’ve ever heard in a game with just how much French influence there is over everything. It’s lovely. I tried to play in French but the lips didn’t sync so that was a bummer.
Completion:
I FINISHED THIS GAME! Took me about 29 hours but it was a hell of a game. As stated above, everything about this game was a delight. It was a very bittersweet ending and I didn’t do everything I wanted to, but I felt the game, for me, came to a natural end. I will miss it and the characters but it was time to move on.
