Overview:

Games that rely heavily on physics can always be a bad sign the game is going to be shallow.  What if you still had the physics, but took away all of the gravity?  What you get is Heavenly Bodies and it’s an awesome game.  The controls are also a sticking point because each of the four face buttons corresponding to a limb.  With there being no gravity, moving around is quite the task as there are many handles to grab onto and a multitude of ways to propel yourself.  You’re tasked with maintaining a space station through all of its ups and downs.  If you have multiple people to play with, the tasks become even more difficult with a sequence of events needing to be done before you can progress.

Your progress is charted pretty effectively.

Visuals:

Heavenly Bodies isn’t going to win any rewards in the visual standpoint but it is a nice looking game.  The lighting for the game is pretty spot on at moments and, in combination with how it does narrow corridors, it does make it feel claustrophobic at times.  The main character doesn’t really have any indistinguishable features and, when you have multiple characters, they’re colored different enough that you won’t have any trouble knowing who you are.

There aren’t any jumps cares at least.

Audio:

I don’t ever want to go to space.  When the game takes away all the air in the space station and just has you wandering through space it can be quite unnerving and makes you yearn for sound.  What I’m saying is the audio adds so much to the game it would be difficult without it.  As you’re going through the levels you’ll be exposed to all sorts of alarms telling you what to do and it’s up to you to make sure you take heed of them to complete the tasks accordingly.

Fun for the whole family!

Completion:

I FINISHED THIS GAME!  My family and I loved the game and the mechanics.  The tasks weren’t so difficult that even a 7 year old was able to complete his appointed checklist.  The controls took some getting used to but what can you expect, we were in space.  I just wish there was more to the game because it really is a fun time and it ended too soon.  It was a happy ending, though.
