Overview:
Carnage breaks out of prison and teams up to take down Spider-Man. It’s a side scrolling brawler game with you taking on many toughs at once and, at the end of a level, beating up a boss. There are also swinging stages where you’re dodging projectiles while proceeding up the stage. It’s a pretty funny exchange at the beginning and I can’t wait to see more of it!

Visuals:
It really does look like a comic book in some instances. The story panels are very well illustrated [but not really animated] and the action of the game has some pretty nice sized sprites. It does suck that the toughs are the same guys over and over again so that does get very repetitious. The environments also look kind of the same but that’s to be expected for a game like this.
Audio:
Green Jelly! They are involved with this game and from the opening beats you can tell. It’s not CD quality audio or anything but the bass lines and the tone is very apparent. The sounds aren’t very special though so it seems all the budget or time was used on getting the band. It’s still very effective if a bit weird pairing.
Completion:
I didn’t get very far. Like all of these type of games they were made to just gang up on you and take you out quickly. I passed a few levels and some swinging stages but the girl toughs were just too much for Spider-Man that he had to take a knee and regroup. It was a pretty fun game. I wished it could have been multiplayer but that’s a moot point at this time.
