Overview:
Set in a Blade Runner rip-off world, you take the role of Sol Cutter who seems to be a thief. It’s a kind of point and click adventure game with portions of it being a light gun shooting game. You have to solve little puzzles while trying to get, from what I experienced, get to the bottom of who killed your partner. This also is a full motion video videogame with a lot of the story beats and narration done in cutscenes or through narration.

Visuals:
This is one ugly ass game. The FMV is poorly done with severely low resolution and bad green/blue screen effects. The backgrounds are just a mess of shapes and colors. The design is just atrocious for something trying to copy the aesthetic of Blade Runner they miss in every situation. The camera moves are also extremely overdone like, for example, if you decide to go up, your character will run the equivalent of a football field at lightning fast speed. I get you have to get somewhere but at least make it somewhat believable.

Audio:
Like the visuals, the audio in this is terrible as well. The background noises are just all cyber sounding effects that just seem like someone was pushing buttons on a keyboard. The voice acting is all over the place with Cutter sounding dead the entire time. The soundtrack is also trying to do the Blade Runner score but missing on all fronts as well. It ain’t no Vangelis.

Completion:
Shoot. I played this game over and over again and got maybe a screen further each time before I had a one hit death. When you die, it’s a game over and you have to start all over. You can save the game, but you really don’t think you should have to at every screen in the first opening 5 minutes of the game. I got my car, was shooting spikey balls, one hit me, I died, Game Over, and The End. I never have to play Burn:Cycle ever again.
